Badminton - The starting point

The game of Badminton originated in India several centuries ago. It was taken to England in 1873 where it became popular at Badminton House, the sprawling mansion of the duke of Beaufort, and so gained its English name. The first modern rules of the game were drawn up in Pune in 1876.
